Mind Mapping for Achievement.

mind mapping, creative memories, journal

Many people when using mind mapping or clustering for the first time come up against an emotional or logical reluctance regarding the flow of idea possibilities or the use of creative memories to brainstorm a seed idea within a project.

It does take time and practise to develop self improvement and motivation to the idea of letting go of any logical sequences.

The trick is to draw a central circle or square on a large blank piece of paper using a pencil into which the seed idea is placed. Relax, dismiss all conflicting thoughts and then allow any thoughts, ideas, emotions or intuitive feelings to pass through you and onto the mind map, recording these impressions within their own circle or other coded symbol.

Over a period of hours or even days, link all the associations together, mindful of locating any trigger points or trigger ideas that may gradually reveal new patterns.

What initially appeared to be chaos or disorder seems to take a life of its own like a phoenix rising out of the ashes. Ideas and associations that may become the seeds for other projects could be placed into a journal or think bank for future creative activity.

Benjamin Disraeli once said “As a general rule the most successful man in life is the man who has the best information."

When practised this technique can become an inspiring adventure into creative writing, brainstorming and personal development coupled with the use of visualization and affirmation techniques designed to influence the subconscious mind. Leading to over a period of time the desired outcome and potential outstanding achievement.
